Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Celebrates 45 Years of Service
Founded on September 22, 1979
On September 21, 2024, the Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. commemorated an incredible milestone 45 years of dedicated service to the Bowling Green, Kentucky community. The event, was held at the Garvin House and brought together fraternity brothers for an afternoon of fellowship, reflection, and celebration.
The festivities, which ran from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, were attended by notable figures within Omega Psi Phi, including 5th District Representative Quincy Snider, 1st vice District Representative Richard Thompson, and District Director of Public Relations Andre Anderson. Their presence underscored the importance of the Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter's contributions to the fraternity and the Bowling Green area.
Throughout the chapter's 45 years, Theta Alpha Alpha has been at the forefront of community engagement, offering mentorship programs, scholarships, and charitable initiatives that have significantly impacted Bowling Green's residents. This celebratory occasion allowed the brothers to not only reflect on past achievements but also to look forward to the future of their service efforts.
The event included speeches from the honored guests, sharing words of encouragement and gratitude, as well as moments of brotherhood and fellowship. Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Participates in Annual Relay for Life Event
On September 7th, 2024, the brothers of the Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly participated in the annual Relay for Life event at the Hot Rods Stadium in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event, a cornerstone in the fight against cancer, brought together various community members and organizations to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and support services.
The brothers of Theta Alpha Alpha arrived at 12:00 PM to set up their booth, where they sold chicken wings, hot dogs, chips, and soda throughout the day. The proceeds from the sales went directly to supporting the Relay for Life cause, aligning with the fraternity’s longstanding commitment to service and community uplift. The event officially kicked off at 4:00 PM and continued until 9:00 PM, providing ample time for attendees to engage with the various vendors, participate in activities, and walk in solidarity for the fight against cancer.
Nine brothers from the Theta Alpha Alpha chapter came out to serve and support the cause, ensuring that their presence was felt not only through their contributions but also through their dedication to the community. Their participation in the Relay for Life event exemplifies the chapter’s ongoing commitment to public service and their passion for making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
The fraternity brothers were warmly received by the community, with many attendees stopping by the booth to support the cause and enjoy the food provided. Theta Alpha Alpha Brothers Participate in Stand Up for Down Syndrome Walk
On September 14, 2024, two brothers from the Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly participated in the Stand Up for Down Syndrome Walk to support the Buddy House. The event, held at the Hot Rods Stadium in Bowling Green, Kentucky, brought together participants to raise awareness and funds for the Buddy House, a local organization dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome.
Brothers DC Clement and Jordon Hayes represented the chapter, contributing three hours each to the cause by walking and assisting in event activities. Their involvement reflects the chapter's ongoing commitment to service and community engagement.
In addition to their time, Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter donated $250 to support the event and the mission of the Buddy House. The chapter’s participation and financial contribution underscore their dedication to uplifting the community and supporting important causes that make a difference in the lives of others.
The Stand Up for Down Syndrome Walk was a meaningful opportunity for the brothers to show solidarity with the community and reinforce the values of Omega Psi Phi, particularly the principles of perseverance and uplift.

Derby Day Party
The Theta Alpha Alpha chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. hosted a spectacular Derby Day party on May 4th, 2024, at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This vibrant and festive event not only celebrated the spirit of the Kentucky Derby but also supported the chapter’s ongoing philanthropic efforts.
The Derby Day party transformed the Sloan Convention Center into a lively celebration of Southern charm and tradition. Attendees donned their finest Derby attire, including stylish hats and colorful dresses, adding to the festive atmosphere. The event featured live music, and themed decorations that captured the essence of the Kentucky Derby.
The Theta Alpha Alpha chapter’s Derby Day party was a resounding success, blending celebration with a meaningful cause. The event not only honored the traditions of the Kentucky Derby but also reinforced the fraternity’s commitment to making a positive impact in the community. As attendees departed the Sloan Convention Center, they left with cherished memories and a shared sense of purpose, ready to support the chapter’s ongoing philanthropic endeavors.

Jonesville Academy
Minorities often face discrimination and exclusion in education: thus giving purpose for Jonesville academy, a program designed for Black and Brown young men in grades 3rd through 8th in Bowling Green and Warren County. For the past two years, the ThetaAlpha Alpha (Bowling Green, KY) brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated have volunteered at Jonesville Academy. The program operates once every two weeks where the youth rotate through these classes: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Reading,Writing, Exploring Languages, History, and Cultures. Furthermore, the youth has the opportunity to hear from positive role models in the community. There by helping to create future equal educational opportunities.
On January 22nd 2024 brothers of Theta Alpha Alpha chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity inc attended the Jonesville Academy tie ceremony at 3:30 pm in Bowling Green, Kentucky . The event was located at the Sky pac performing arts center. The purpose of the event was to honor scholars for their participation and achievements in the program. Each student of Jonesville was recognized for their accomplishments by receiving a red tie and having it tied by influential members of the community. Eight brothers of Theta Alpha Alpha attended the event to support the scholars.
Fatherhood and Mentoring is one the fraternities mandated programs that has been exemplified in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The brothers of Theta Alpha Alpha prides themselves on being involved and active in our community. There's no regard when it comes to the great work being done but there's always room for improvement. Uplift is of the essence and these brothers are impacting our youth and producing some of the greatest minds of the future.

STEM day at the Corvette Museum
On Saturday February 24, 2024 the Brothers of Theta Alpha Alpha (TAA) partner with Regional AT&T office and General Motors Corvette Museum to make the Jonesville Academy STEM day possible. The STEM Day began at 9am Brothers Harold Little, Curtis Johnson, and Laquan Richardson greeted, and chaperon different age groups also shared the importance of STEM in their lives.
The young men spent time in Driven by Design room where they design their own version of a Corvette on computers. Also, in the room the students race different toy models of Corvettes then explain why one won or lost. They learn about the some of the science within Internal Combustion Enginethrough wall mounted display. Later they use clay to make a physical model of a car that they would be faster than a Corvette. The older students got laptops to use computer programs with various options to design a Corvette. During the tour they got to learn about the history of the Corvette and how it has change over the years.
One highlight of the day they got to see a buyer picking up their customized Corvette. When the new owner fired up the engine inside the museum the young men cheered as they drove off the showroom floor. The Corvette Plant Lead engineer Mr. Kimball Green spoke to the students encouraging them to pursue a career in STEM occupations. TAA also provided lunch for all participants. Brothers in attendance David Mobley, Omar Rodgers, Steve Bell, Alex McReynolds, and David Clement. 28 total man hours

Memorial Service on the Hill
On March 10, 2024, the Brothers of Theta Alpha Alpha and Gamma Theta Chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. gathered to participate in a heartfelt Memorial Service. The event took place at the Founders Monument on the campus of Western Kentucky University.
The day commenced with a worship service at Eleventh Street Baptist Church, where the brothers joined together in fellowship and reflection. Following the service, the brothers assembled at the Founders Monument at 12 PM for the Memorial Service.
Brother James Brown, Chaplain for the Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter, led the service with dignity and reverence. The solemn event was attended by 10 brothers from the Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter and Gamma Theta chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, demonstrating the fraternity's strong sense of brotherhood and shared values.
This Memorial Service was a poignant reminder of the bonds that unite the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., as they honored the memories of those who have passed and reaffirmed their commitment to the fraternity's principles.

Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter Excels at the 76th District Meeting in Knoxville, TN
The Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly participated in the 76th District Meeting held in Knoxville, TN, from April 18 through April 21, 2024. Our chapter was represented by three distinguished delegates: DC Clement, Harold Little, and Dallas Miles.
Their dedication and commitment were evident throughout the event, culminating in significant achievements for our chapter. We are thrilled to announce that the Theta Alpha Alpha Chapter was honored with the "Small Chapter of the Year" award, a testament to our hard work, community service, and brotherhood.
In addition, Brother DC Clement received the prestigious "Undergraduate Advisor of the Year" award. His exceptional guidance and leadership have greatly impacted our chapter and the broader community.
